I did not. The first food diary I have done all of my meals and snacks in the Excel template; then came the goals at the bottom of the list. As the days progressed, write my fat grams or Calories (irrespective of the manner in which they occurred during calculation!) and then balanced with my target was to see how I was doing.
Add continuously made me very eager totals options. When evaluating my intake instead of calmly at the end of the day, I got a little treatment obsessive and checked out a few hours every epizootic up the amounts in the hundredth decimal places!
Now, if you have the skill and time to go all out more power to you! You can still make diary on your computer and is not as accurate as I tried to be. Regardless of how you can keep a journal, you should be honest. It is not all good if you're a fudge.
Find out what makes the most sense to you: If the chart progress to keep motivated, make it; If you find it easier to use it better, only a simple notebook, as described in the instructions below. It is all up to you!
